Operation Chokepoint – Further Explanation

I received a bit of personal feedback from a prior post entitled, Killing Operation Choke Point, that prompts today’s highlighted article. The feedback was basically a series of questions asking about Operation Choke Point and what the “operation” was all about.

That brings me to today’s highlighted article, Operation Choke Point Is Over. But Without Major Reforms, It Could Happen Again. It starts like this:

Kudos to the Justice Department for ending Operation Choke Point.

Operation Choke Point was an effort by Obama administration officials to destroy lawful businesses that they personally disliked by intimidating finance companies into denying them service.

  1. “Ignorance of the law is no excuse”…excuse me? The article states “there are more than 4,450 federal criminal laws and over 300,000 federal criminal regulatory offenses”

    I reckon in my case, “Ignorance is bliss” would be more accurate!

    The law has truly made a mockery of itself!!!!
